Virtual Pentathlon Event

10 OCT 2020

Four pupils at Dumfries Academy have joined in with the first ever Virtual Pentathlon Event in partnership with Dumfries & Galloway Disability Sport .

Our athletes are; Zahra Forlow, Connor Mickle, Irvine Currie and Luke Marshall.

Over a five week period they have taken part in various events, testing both their speed and endurance.

Longs jumps have been measured, sprints have been timed and throwing has been extremely accurate. All their scores will be collated to become part of a collective score from D&G.

Well done Dumfries Academy Pupils who have all worked hard during their PE sessions and continued to keep fit and healthy!

Thanks to Laura Vickers, Disability Sport for inviting us, Senga Thomas, Active Schools for her support and to Reece Moore and Dawn McDonald from Dumfries Academy for motivating and coaching the pupils.
