RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR CODE

In Classrooms

You will achieve success and respect in all classrooms when you:-
1.       Follow instructions straight away
2.       Be on time for your lessons
3.       Talk and act politely at all times
4.       Bring all the equipment and homework you need
5.       Let others work without distractions
6.       Complete your learning tasks quietly and to the best of your ability

Around the School

You will be expected to show respect to these rules:-
1.       Follow all instructions straight away
2.       Wear the school uniform – it shows you are with us
3.       Talk and act politely at all times
4.       Walk directly and safely to your next class
5.       Eat and drink only when you are permitted

Health and Safety

You should respect all of these rules at all times:-
1.       Cycles
          -     No cycling is permitted within the school grounds and this includes the ramp to Irving Street.
          -     Cyclists should find out where the cycle racks are and use those nearest their access to the school.
          -     Cycles are left at pupil’s own risk and should be secure.

2.       Fire Drill
          -     Instructions on procedures to be adopted are displayed in each room for your information.

3.       Property
          -     The school accepts no responsibility for any property left by pupils in desks or classrooms.
          -     It is, however, in the interests of the pupil to have their property marked for identification purposes and not to
leave money or valuables in coats, desks or dressing rooms.
          -     Enquiries about lost property should be made at the School or Janitors’ Offices.

4.       Damage
          -     Damage caused by pupils within the school, or loss of school property (for example, text books), must be paid for by
                those responsible.

5.       Communication
          -     Mobile devices should be switched off and secured in class.
          -     Mobile phones being used without permission from the teacher will be confiscated and returned from the School
Office at the end of the school day.

6.       Absences
          -     Absences should be explained with a note from your parent(s)/carer(s) immediately on your return from absence.
          -     Medical appointments and holiday requests should also be supported with a note from parent(s)/carer(s).

7.       Latecoming
          -     On arriving late at school, you should report immediately to the School Office.
